Objectives

The aim of ViPiA was to createa training package; addressing "would-be" entrepreneurs in order toassist them in developing their venture concepts to a level that waspresentable/ attractive to potential angel investors, incubators and othersupport institutions.

The Virtual Pre-incubationAccelerator (ViPiA) project aims:

· To encourageentrepreneurship and innovation through the provision of business training, avirtual learning network and the mentoring of start-up founders, in order toenhance new business creation at the pre-seed and seed stages and new businesssustainability in the EU.

· To create betteropportunities for easy and low cost access to continued professional trainingand advisory services for specific target groups including students, unemployedor under-employed graduates, academic or professional researchers, inventorsand women.

·To encourageentrepreneurship within scientific and technical university courses/programmes.This would help to enhance awareness within the research community of theopportunities that exist to commercialise new scientific developments.

Detection of training needsand identification of knowledge and experience of the partners that may be usedas a base to elaborate the pedagogical material.

Development, testing andapplication of an easy-to-learn virtual environment for continued professionaldevelopment of entrepreneurs and managers of innovative and high-techSMEs.
